Introduction to Business Valuations in a Family Business

One important part of exit planning is understanding what your business is worth. This allows you to have realistic conversations, decide how you'll transition your business, and even how to increase that value over time. In April, we'll talk about the key components of a valuation (like what is EBITDA and why is it important for the value of the business?), how it works, and how it fits into a family business transition (like needing it for a gift tax return). In a future session we'll discuss the key drivers that you can focus on to increase the valuation of your business over time.
