WEBINAR - The One Big Beautiful Bill's Impact for Construction Businesses

Friday, October 31, 2025 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (EDT)
Event Details

The OBBB (One Big Beautiful Bill) presents sweeping changes to the U.S. tax code. All the while, a lot of the available information on the OBBB is generalized and is not specifically targeted to the construction industry. But it is important to understand both the direct implications on corporate taxes of construction businesses, as well as the implications to the personal taxes of construction business owners and their employees. In addition, it’s clear that the OBBB was written to achieve growth in particular sectors of the U.S. economy. We will dive into what industries and operations are most incentivized in the bill (manufacturing, etc.) so that construction businesses can align themselves with those growth opportunities.

After this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Identify what economic sectors the OBBB is intended to incentivize for growth and what construction businesses should be considering to take advantage of this economic growth.
  • Recognize the new rules and provisions regarding bonus depreciation and how they can apply to your business.
  • Understand the changes in the OBBB regarding the treatment of taxes on employee overtime, as well as additional changes intended to have positive impacts for your workforce.
  • Understand what expenditures in a construction business can generally qualify as R&D and the impact of changes to the tax treatment of R&D expenditures.
