Daniel F. McLennon is a Partner of Smith, Currie & Hancock, LLP. He manages Smith Currie’s San Francisco office and is Co-Chair of Smith Currie’s Insurance Practice Group. For over 30 years, Dan has been counsel to the construction industry—drafting and negotiating contracts, working out problems during construction, and resolving disputes after construction. Dan represents public entities, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, premises owners, manufacturers, and professionals concerning all construction-related issues. Also, Dan has a passion for making insurance companies live up to their promises. He serves as a mediator and arbitrator for the courts of San Francisco and Marin Counties and as board member or speaker for several trade associations, including Associated General Contractors of America and the American Subcontractors Association. For over 10 years, Dan has been the Government Relations Chairman for the American Subcontractors Association of California. Dan holds a B.G.S. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as Publications Editor for the Houston Law Review.
