Welcome to Glenn Machine Works ("GMW"). GMW was established in 1957 as a machine shop and plant maintenance facility. By 1960, steel erection and machinery installation had become part of our core business. We also started a mill supply division to service our increasing material demands, and to give us a competitive edge over our competitors.
GMW flourished throughout the 1960’s with the additions of millwright services and large machinery installations, and in 1971, we added a crane rental division, know as Glenn Crane & Rigging, to give us the element needed to make GMW a stronger competitor in the industry. The crane rental fleet gave us the capability to handle larger work and handle larger and heavier machinery than previously could have been done in house.
Our crane rental fleet grew rapidly. By 1980, GMW was involved in large scale installation and plant relocation projects. By 1990, we were devoting ourselves in building our core businesses and enhancing our crane rental fleet. Due to the strong demand for crane services on the Gulf coast, in 1997, we opened a new facility in Ocean Springs, MS, strategically placed to handle work in the southern region of our state.
The demand for our products and services has kept pace with the economy and has continued to grow. By the year 2000, Glenn Machine Works, Inc. had positioned its self to offer full maintenance packages as well as a variety of other services to industry. GMW also opened an office in Mobile, AL to service the Alabama and north Florida regions.
Due to our core values and the determination of our company to provide quality service in a competitive market, we opened offices in Hattiesburg, MS as well as Meridian, MS in 2003.
GMW has fabricated, serviced, and maintained the full spectrum of overhead hoisting systems including bridge cranes, jib cranes, monorails and gantry systems since the 1970's. The demand for this service grew and in 2003, a full division of overhead crane parts and services was established.
In 2005 an office was opened in Chalmette LA. This allowed us to better service the central part of our state as well as east and southeast Louisiana. In 2008, GMW made a new commitment to the community and to industry by opening a new state of the art facility in Columbus, MS.
GMW now offers a modern, full service machine shop, a steel fabrication facility, millwright machinery installation services, overhead hoist systems, industrial electrical services and hydraulic cranes up to 500 ton capacities, as well as barge roll off capabilities, gantry lift systems and slide systems.

Glenn Crane and Rigging is a full-service crane and rigging company specializing in heavy haul / transportation, engineered heavy rigging, heavy lift systems, heavy lift cranes, jacking, sliding, and gantry systems, as well as specialty fabrication. RTs are available up to 100 ton and mobile cranes up to 500 ton.
