Joseph Barnes is a degreed safety professional and director with more than 30 years safety and emergency medicine experience. Onshore, offshore, medical transportation, DOT, construction, general industry, heavy civil and risk management. Mr. Barnes exposure to job sites as well as the board room is extensive. In addition to actively supporting safety roles, Mr. Barnes serves as an instructor at Texas A&M University Engineering extension in Occupational Safety & Health, in the degreed safety program at Texas A&M University Commerce, and as a director for The College of Health Care Professionals. 

Many years ago, Mr. Barnes realized that exposure to the legal aspects of safety was the future for every safety program. He availed himself to learning whatever he could and taking part in the legal process where available. To date, Mr. Barnes has served as the subject matter expert on more than 300 legal actions, up to and including fatalities on the job site. A published author, Mr. Barnes is passionate about safety and his leadership is reflected in his scholastic achievements, professional certifications, and affiliations. His enthusiasm for safety has been on stage 3 times at OSHA conferences as well as multiple risk management workshops around the country.
